A short video (embedded below) has surfaced from what appears to be Sanur Harbour in Bali. It shows why travelers shouldn’t overpack and take steep ramps. In the footage, two men are seen struggling to wheel an overloaded cart down a dock, likely attempting to board a ferry to a neighboring island.

I’m guessing it was low tide making the ramp especially steep and treacherous. Unfortunately, the sheer weight of the cart proved too much as the luggage cart rolled uncontrollably into the water. Fortunately, the men themselves stayed safe on dry land though their belongings were not so lucky.

The video was shared by Barstool Sports with viewers weighing in on the precarious moment:

@sdm2315: “Not gonna lie. Been there. Done that. With my husband’s fishing poles on the cart. I’m lucky to be alive and he’s lucky I still love him after saving his poles before me.”

@carl.dean: “Dude bailed early. I would’ve sacrificed myself for sure to save that cart.”

@jonpaulcrimi: “Nobody needs that much stuff for vacation…”

Beyond the laughs, the clip highlights a few practical travel lessons.

1. Overpacking can quickly turn a simple task into a disaster especially when navigating steep docks or ferry ramps.

2. Timing matters: The ramp was particularly steep likely because of low tide showing how natural conditions can dramatically affect everyday travel logistics in island destinations.

3. Teamwork is essential but even with the best coordination, sometimes physics wins. Make smaller trips.

BTW: Sanur Harbour is a key departure point in Bali for travelers heading to islands like Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida. The area is known for ferry departures, local boats and tourist traffic making moments like this both relatable and a little chaotic for anyone who has ever tried to navigate a busy dock.
