Ishaan Sharma, 21, from New Jersey, is under arrest after attacking another passenger (video below) on a Frontier Airlines flight to Miami International Airport (MIA). The altercation took place Sunday night just after the flight landed at MIA.
According to the affidavit obtained by ABC News, Sharma “approached him and grabbed his neck while returning to his assigned seat.” The victim told police the attack was “unprovoked,” and it appears Sharma picked the wrong dude to mess with—his mugshot looks like a photo taken after a Rocky Balboa fight.
To add insult to injury, Sharma was the only one arrested. He has been charged with battery and is facing a $500 bond—too little if you ask me. Before being transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, he was taken to Jackson West Hospital for a “visible laceration to his left eyebrow which required medical assistance.”
Without knowing the full story, it seems like he should’ve been given a psychiatric evaluation for acting out on a flight after landing. I’m guessing alcohol played a part or maybe the passenger was reclining his seat.
