To complete the Marriott and Starwood Preferred Guest merger, these two hotel giants have launched these cards. Marriott had a strong partnership with Chase while Starwood had a solid deal going with American Express, which is why the two still co-exist (albeit under different names). American Express will continue to handle the Marriott premium and business cards while Chase will carry the torch for personal and no-fee Marriott cards.

Here are some of the Chase and AMEX Marriott Bonvoy credit cards.

Just got Bonvoy BOLD, (I’m a Bonvoy hotel user, but more of a air miles guy- need miles more than free hotel stays – but it was free – so figured why not) – then learned of the AMEX Brilliant – this seems worth it primarily due to automatic GOLD at Bonvoy – gets room upgrades I think- also includes Priority pass so perhaps I can ditch my Sapphire Reserve and save that fee.

Questions – Can you get the welcome offers from both Chase and Amex? Considering Idea of using one for personal, one for business and/or getting AMEX business vs. Brilliant
