If you’ve ever been through Miami International Airport, especially the never-ending maze that is the D terminal, you already know the struggle. The walk between gates feels like miles, the people mover is hit or miss, and half the time you’re debating whether it’s even worth going up the escalators just to catch that little train for a 90-second ride.
That’s why the courtesy carts American Airlines runs can be a lifesaver. They’re mostly used for VIPs, seniors and travelers who genuinely need help getting from gate to gate. We’ve all seen them creeping through the terminal with the driver tapping that horn over and over while everyone scrambles to get out of the way. Annoying for everyone around and honestly pretty awkward for the people riding because nothing screams attention like a blaring cart cruising through a crowd.
I once saw Burt Reynolds in a courtesy cart at MIA waiting for his driver.
But in the video below we’ve apparently reached a new level of airport clownery.

Two guys who definitely didn’t look like VIPs, frequent fliers or anyone with mobility challenges somehow scored a limited availability courtesy ride. Maybe they faked needing help or maybe they just talked their way into it. Either way, once on board they decided to turn the whole thing into their personal NSFW parade.
When the cart’s horn stopped working they started shouting at people to move, dropping obscenities and acting like they owned the terminal. Total chaos and total cringe.
But here’s the good part: the driver wasn’t having it.
She stopped the cart, looked them dead in the eye and said, “Get off. I’m serious.”
And they did. Good for her.
Huge credit to American Airlines for hiring employees who know how to take control of a situation with professionalism and authority. Those carts are there for people who actually need them, not for self-appointed airport celebrities trying to feel important.
Some real heroes don’t wear capes. One drives courtesy carts at MIA.
