I have seen a lot of wild things on the road but this one might take the cake. A Canadian man was arrested after driving a child-size pink Barbie Jeep through the streets of Prince George.

A man being pulled over by police in a pink Barbie JeepOn Sept. 5 police pulled over Kasper Lincoln for driving the toy car down one of the city’s busiest roads. The Mattel Jeep can hit about eight km/h and is designed for kids ages three to seven. My five-year-old daughter used to ride this exact model and I made her stop because it was surprisingly powerful with two little girls inside. Not sure how fast it goes with a grown man but the thing has some juice.

Lincoln said he borrowed his roommate’s child’s Jeep to grab a Slurpee while his friend walked beside him. Photos showed him cruising 15th Avenue in aviator sunglasses before police stopped him. Witnesses said he was going slowly near the curb and seemed harmless. Memes and jokes quickly spread online comparing it to Grand Theft Auto.

Police said Lincoln had a suspended license, appeared intoxicated, and failed two breath tests. They reminded the public that toy vehicles are not legal on the road. A Vancouver lawyer confirmed that any motorized vehicle requires both a license and insurance.

Lincoln called it the most ridiculous arrest he has ever had. He plans to fight the charge but admitted he learned a lesson: don’t drink and drive.

One person on X posted video (embedded above) of the arrest, pointing out that Canadian law counts any powered vehicle as a motor vehicle. They added that Lincoln must have wanted that Slurpee pretty badly.
